El Yaque is a small beach village, and its food scene is exactly what you would hope for: casual, fresh, and inexpensive by Caribbean standards. Rather than name specific venues (small businesses here open, close, and change hands often), here is how to eat well in the village.

Beachfront dining A handful of beachfront restaurants and bars line the sand at El Yaque. The formula is reliable: fresh catch of the day, grilled or fried, with tostones or rice, eaten with your feet in the sand while kitesurfers cross the bay.
