The short version
PlayaElYaqueHotels.com is free to read. When you click a “Check availability” button and book a stay on Booking.com, Booking.com may pay us a commission. You pay the same price you would pay going to Booking.com directly.
Which links earn a commission
- Booking.com links. Our Booking.com links are affiliate links, run through the CJ Affiliate network. Each one says so in small print under the button, and each carries a
rel="sponsored"tag so search engines know it is a paid link. - Everything else is not. Links to hotels’ own websites, to kite and windsurf schools, to the sources we cite and to our sister sites earn us nothing.
If we add another affiliate partner, we will name it on this page and label its links the same way.
What commissions do not change
- No hotel, posada or rental pays to be listed on this site or to be ranked higher.
- Ratings and rates come from the property’s own site or its Booking.com page, with the month we read them. We don’t write our own star ratings, and we don’t publish a price we can’t point to.
- A place stays on the site whether or not it is bookable through an affiliate link.
Messaging a posada directly
Some posadas have agreed to answer travellers directly. On their page you can send a message, which we pass on in Spanish on WhatsApp, and their reply comes back to you by email in English. Neither you nor the posada pays for this.
What we record when you click
A Booking.com click passes through our own link first, which records which hotel and which page it came from, plus any campaign tag in the address you arrived on. That is how we count which pages are useful. Booking.com and CJ Affiliate handle the booking itself under their own privacy policies.
