Some places to stay arrange the transfer for you: Yaque Beach Hotel lists airport transfers, and StevieWonderLand and Casa Maya arrange pickups. Ask when you book, especially if you land after dark or travel with board bags.
Flights into Margarita (PMV) in 2026
- From the US: no direct flights to Margarita. American Airlines flies Miami to Caracas; it paused after the 24 June earthquakes and set daily flights to resume on 3 September 2026. Connect in Caracas to a domestic flight to Porlamar.
- Via Panama: Copa starts Panama City to Porlamar on 26 November 2026, three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday), arriving 13:36 local time.
- Within Venezuela: about 120 domestic flights link Porlamar with 12 Venezuelan cities (El Venezolano, October 2026).
- By ferry: Conferry restarted Puerto La Cruz to Margarita on 26 June 2026 (adult fare $30). Boats dock at Punta de Piedras, about 20 minutes' drive from El Yaque.
